Alpine Officials Level 1 -Training

This training has been designed to support you in facilitating at Alpine ski race events, both locally and nationally.

This course is a general introduction into the following roles:

• Start Marshall
• Gate Judge
• Finish Marshall

Through this course you will explore and understand these topics

• The layout of a race hill
• A basic understanding of courses, including:
• Gates
• Combinations
• An understanding of rules relating to:
  o Correct passage
  o Climbing
  o Denying a start
  o Start procedures
  o Legal finish

This course is split into modules and will take approximately 90 minutes to complete.
